Just Thursday

Just another day with a limp...... I think I want to paint the cruiser black, Mmmmmm. I am getting a chrome springer fork for it. Some 23" Ape Hangers. Getting those next week, Ohh yeah and a cool mudflap. Just hung around and finished my last 2 Bells Wheat #2. Have to go out and resupply the stash with some just on the shelf Bells Oberon. If you've never tried it, run, do not walk to your favorite liquior store and p/u a sixer.

Tuesdays to the Docs I will go.....

Went back to the O.S and he says it's healing good. Maybe in about 3 weeks I can start walking with out the walking brace. I told him that I was already doing that and he almost slapped me. He said either I wear the brace or use the crutches or both. He says there's too much soft tissue damage from the original twisting of the ankle and then from the doctor having to twist it back. So it looks like I better do what the Doc says. Drove all the way by myself doing the left foot thing and that was a little edgy since the reflexes aren't that quick!!! He says I can start PT on it on Monday just some eletric stimuli and ice therapy to control all the SWELLING and some light range of motion. Looks like biking won't be until mid to late May...sheesh!!!!! Well at least I have my cruiser project to work on. I think I'm going to paint it black or red and get some Ape hangers, 30" chrome fork and I'm leaning towards a banana seat with the high sissy bar vs a black and red flamed cruiser seat....input????? Here's a pic.........

Monday Moanin

Another day on the couch. Did a little walking around, cleaning the house, surfing the net (porn). Started back to PT on my elbow. I was going 3 times a week up until the CRASH. Lauras going to for her shoulder. I feel bad for her it seems to really bother her and you know how it hurts you to see someone you love in pain. But after we went cruising down some streets and it was garbage day. Came across this one house and what do I see but a bike and not just any bike but a beach cruiser. It looked in good enough shape so I begged Laura to stop (she hates garbage picking) and lets take a look. The damn thing had never been rode. It still had the price tags from Meijers on it. Both tires were flat and it has some surface rust. Looks like I have a project to work on while I get better. I'll post a couple of pics later.

Slow Sunday

Walking a little more....I hope I'm not overdoing it. It seems pretty sore by evening. I spent most of the day outside with the dogs, Michael as he flew up and down the street on his Suzuki. I took the Sugar off the hooks and cleaned, waxed and degreased & greased the chain. She's all ready to be rode. I need to get it in to TrailsEdge and take the mechanicals off and put the Hayes Hydro's on. Looking for a new or gently used Shimano XT Rear derailer. On mine the rear barrel adjustment is stuck. Supposed to be in the 50's to low 60's all week. that should be good weather for all my biking friends to get some good base miles in .....ENJOY!!!!!

Saturdays Nights Alright

Baby steps every day on the road to recovery. Jealous as hell of my friends riding. Alden went out with Andrea, Soupy, Lee & Erin. GOD I WANT TO FUCKING RIDE!!!!!! Drove my car for the first time since the crash. All left leg driving though, got a small cramp from the abnormal position my leg was in. Went to FJ's and grabbed a couple of things and cruised around a little...ahhhhh FREEDOM!!!!!!! Using the cruches only when I get tired now. Did I say how much I wanna ride!!!!!!! Cooked a nice Cherry Chicken Marsala last night..turned out pretty nice.
Michael bought his first real vehicle today with his Christmas and Bday money...a Suzuki 175. He's getting big and there's nothing I can do about it.........

Fucking Friday Night

Another day in the house, it's been 5 weeks since the mtb accident and I'm starting to be able to walk some. Spent the day copying "The Dog Whisper"(Calm & Assertive) on VHS for the mother in law. Still a little sore from the weights yesterday. Still waitng on Corey Mitchell to send me a coppy of his book so I can see what direction he took the Watts story and then I'll have some idea of the way I want to go with mine. I want it to target on the pain and loss of all those effected and not so much on the criminal. Finally called that producer from "Oprah" and got her VM. Left a meesage and she called back and got my VM. She wants me to call her on Monday to talk. Went to a new Mexican resturant with Laura, Michael and our nieghbors Mike & Linda and had a GREAT dinner, almost drank a whole pitcher of Dos Sequiz by myself!!!!!!! The place is called Casa Fiesta in Westland. Check it out you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to fucking ride...... Guess it's good since it's the spring thaw and wouldn't be doing much trail riding anyway, but it's going to take me at least half the summer to get back to the level I was at before the CRASH. Laura says she's going to start ridng with me again since I'll be doing slow rides for awhile and maybe this will get her interested in my second love...MTBing.

The Meeting and stuff

Well did some weights today for the first time in over a month. Did bench press and Lats..a little sore today. Had the MMBA SE Chapter meeting last night and saw alot of people I've missed in the last 2 months. They had the elections for office postitions and I was elected V.P, which was a surprise. I hope I don't let them down. I've been sitting on a producers # from Oprah for a week now and have not the courage to call her to see if they would do a story on the Watts saga. What is holding me back is the mind fuck I go through everytime I have to relive it. The Montel Show was the worst since I had to be with all the family members and I have to listen to their pain and then I have to tell my story and the nightmares I had to and still have to live with. I'm about 98% ready to call though. Doing a little walking on the ankle, not much pain. just want to get back to normal life.

First Lines of Shit.

Still recovering from the MTB accident. Hope to be doing some kind of riding in about a month. I broke my ankle in 4 places and had 6 screws and a plate put in. Still waiting on some kind of movment in the Coral Watts appeals. The Gloria Steele case appeal was heard on March 3rd and no decision as of yet. The Helen Dutcher case appeal is still not on the docket to be heard but they think now it will be in May. I can't believe this asshole kills 100 women and we have to waste all these tax dollars on his appeals when for a 25 cent bullet that I would have proudly supplied could of ended alot of suffering by now. I'm still debating on writting a book on the whole experiance but am hesitent due to the fact of making money on such a horrible story. If I do a good share will go to victims rights. I'm also not sure if the general public would be interested in a story of what has happened to me since the night I locked eyes with Americas most prolific serial killer as he killed an innocent women. Corey Mitchells book on Watts titled "Evil Eyes" comes out April 1st. Any input would be appreciated. Going to the MMBA SE Chapter meeting tommorow and can't wait to go and see all my friends I haven't seen since my accident. I love you Laura.
